Consumer demand for regenerative agriculture is on the rise. Numerous recent studies show that consumers are increasingly looking for regenerative agriculture. Regenerative agriculture is a straightforward way for consumers to reduce their climate impacts and support farmers to improve their soil, their crops and ultimately their impacts on the environment.
According to Food Navigator, more than 2/3 of American consumers are aware of regenerative agriculture, and 65% are interested to purchase products that are grown regeneratively. Both of these categories continue to grow rapidly each year.
According to Markets and Markets, the global regenerative agriculture market is projected to reach $16.8 billion by 2027, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 14.0%. Importantly, regenerative agriculture provides a means for farmers to improve their soil and ultimate crop output, but also to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and even sequester additional carbon in their soils. Farmers can see positive improvements on their bottom line at the farm level, but also by accessing these growing markets and consumers that are demanding regenerative agriculture.
Two primary challenges facing regenerative supply chains are the lack of available supply of agricultural goods coming from farms that implement regenerative agriculture and the lack of clear metrics for defining and validating regenerative agriculture. Climate Sense aims to solve both of these challenges, putting scalable solutions into the hands of farmers, partnering with companies, governments and other implementers to drive forward regenerative agriculture. Our integrated AI provides customized improvement pathways for farmers to quickly and easily access recommendations for their farm, based on soil data, satellite data and broader scientific literature without needing anything more than our app and sensor technology. Climate Sense uses blockchain technology to enable our data reporting, traceability and impact measurement, providing clear and transparent data for companies up and down the supply chain.
With science-based recommendations, technology that is easy to use and customized to each farmer’s journey, and transparent financial incentives, our platform is ready for farmers and companies in the supply chain to meet this growing demand.
