Climate Sense Partners with Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU)

Climate Sense is excited to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU). This partnership is an important step in the validation of our soil sensor technology to improve the lives of farmers and the natural environment across India, and we’d like to thank everyone who is contributing to this important work from the university:

Dr. Janaiah (Vice Chancellor), Dr. Vidya Sagar (Registrar), Dr. Balaram (Director of Research), Dr. Madhavi (Principal Scientist and Head, AICRP on STCR), and Dr. KP Vani (Director, Center for Natural Resource Management and Environment)

Our teams will work closely with Dr. Madhavi, her colleagues and her team to conduct a pilot study for two agricultural seasons, focusing on maize and paddy (rice). We have already installed 10 sensor arrays with maize and 12 sensors with paddy. This collaboration will ensure that our solutions are validated and optimized for scalability across diverse agricultural landscapes. By working alongside PJTSAU, we aim to provide farmers with actionable insights that drive better crop yields, improve soil health, drive regenerative agriculture and promote sustainable farming practices.

Sudhakar Nerla and Ramachandra Kandala represented Climate Sense, and Suman Bharati participated from our partner NeoAura.

We will be sharing updates throughout the process, so stay tuned for more information about our collaboration!
